Ever seen those articles on top 3, top 5, top 10 burgers, Italian, Japanese food, etc? We sure do and I think they do give you a good start in giving you ideas on what to eat. However, are they always accurate and do they help you?
Taste is subjective and so are those lists of top food. This is because those lists are based on the verdict of one person or a small group of ‘experts’. What I love, you may only kind of like and what I like, may not be what you like.
If a thousand people have voted for a particular food though, then there is a great chance of you liking the same food. That is exactly what we want to enable, the people’s voice on food. In the Droolie mobile app, you are able to give your “Like” on any individual food in addition to your own comment/review of it. This means, we can start publishing more accurate top food lists as they will be based on actual people’s vote. What will be even better is that the list will evolve as restaurants come up with new menu and more people use the app and more “Like” are given.
You might then ask, what if those thousands of people are different than me because I cannot eat what they voted due to allergy? Well, as part of our long list of exciting features, we are aiming for you to be able to search better. Search by food allergens, search by perceived taste, and many more!
Do spread the word about Droolie to your family and friends so we can grow the community and make food choices better. Also remember to give your “Like” on the food you’ve tried and loved. As this article alludes to, every “Like” you give will help others in finding food much much faster.
Our missions remains simple after all, that is to help you find food smart and easy.
